Senior Data Product Designer

HealthVerity is a healthcare data exchange company that enables organizations to connect and analyze privacy-protected real-world data. The Senior Data Product Designer leads the design and development of healthcare data products, collaborating with product, engineering, and client-facing teams. The role engages enterprise clients, incorporates feedback, drives innovation and revenue growth, and contributes thought leadership through research publications.

Responsibilities:

• Product Design: Leverage deep data expertise to lead the design of new data offerings, and features/enhancements that meet unexpressed needs across multiple data product areas
• Product Development: Collaborate with teams across the product lifecycle—from concept to launch—partnering with Data Product Management, Data Product Engineering, and other stakeholders such as Data Solutions, and client facing teams
• Innovation: Bring design to the forefront with innovative data products for the healthcare sector, capitalizing on HealthVerity's unique leadership in the healthcare data marketplace
• Client Engagement: Work closely with our enterprise clients, building relationships to understand their unique challenges and actively incorporating their feedback into our product life cycle to ensure we meet and exceed market needs
• Product Advocacy: Represent and advocate for HealthVerity's product strategy in customer interactions and other external engagements, enhancing market presence and product visibility
• Autonomy: Research and develop data products/solutions with little or no support. Comfortable working through ambiguity to reach a deep understanding of the client challenge
• Business Impact: Driving revenue growth through new products or enhancements and helping HealthVerity stand out in the market
• Thought Leadership: Author and submit research abstracts, white papers, and manuscripts to support new and existing data products

Requirements:

• 6+ years of data solution/design within healthcare technology including:
• Strong design thinking skills with the ability to anticipate future client needs and develop solutions
• Knowledge of and demonstrated success with user experience, design, and research principles to create data products that delight clients
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders
• 6+ years of advanced SQL programming and analytic experience in real world evidence (RWE) or commercial pharma applications
• 3+ years of experience in an external customer-facing role with a focus on real-world data
• Deep understanding of healthcare data structures (e.g. claims, remittance, EMR, registry, chargemaster, pre-authorizations) and how to derive insights from them
• Understanding of engineering and data warehousing principles including normalization, standardization, patient mastering, and deduplication
• Track record of using clinical data to solve challenges, preferably within Life Sciences
• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health)
