Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing)

Jacobs delivers engineering and consulting solutions for advanced manufacturing, industrial facilities, and other critical infrastructure projects. The Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer will design HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, develop design and construction documents, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
• Development of final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc
• Coordination with other disciplines

Requirements:

• This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates
• • At least ten (10) years' experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• • Proficiency in Revit
• • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
• • Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• • Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely
• • Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
• • Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
