Job Title: Platform Engineer-Infrastructure & Observability

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to provide operational and engineering support for our Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipeline management, data services, and observability tooling, with the ability to troubleshoot deployment failures and drive platform reliability.

Infrastructure & Provisioning

• Provision, manage, and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure using Terraform (IaC best practices, modules, state management)
• Manage core Google Cloud Platform services (Compute, VPC/Networking, IAM, Storage, GKE, Cloud Functions, etc.)
• Handle infrastructure access requests, IAM role/policy management, and access governance
• Own end-to-end infra provisioning lifecycle, ensuring compliance and security standards

CI/CD & Deployment

• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
• Investigate and resolve deployment rollout failures, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing fixes
• Support release management processes and deployment automation improvements

Data Services & Ingestion

• Support Google Cloud Platform data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.)
• Manage and troubleshoot data ingestion pipelines
• Administer and support Confluent Kafka for streaming data integration

Observability & Monitoring

• Configure, manage, and optimize monitoring/alerting using Dynatrace
• Set up dashboards, synthetic monitors, and alerting policies to proactively identify issues
• Perform incident triage using observability data to reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution)

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

• Apply SRE principles SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, error budgets, incident management, and RCA processes
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Drive automation to reduce toil and improve system reliability

Multi-Cloud Exposure

• Support and contribute to workloads with Azure components (basic to intermediate exposure expected)
• Assist in cross-cloud integration and hybrid architecture support as needed Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform core services and Terraform (IaC)
• Experience with Kubernetes/GKE
• Proven experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar)
• Experience with data ingestion pipelines and Confluent Kafka
• Working knowledge of Dynatrace (or similar APM/observability tools)
• Understanding of IaaS concepts and cloud infrastructure management
• Familiarity with Azure core services (compute, networking, IAM)
• Knowledge of SRE practices incident management, root cause analysis, reliability engineering
• Strong troubleshooting skills for deployment and rollout failures
• Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar) preferred
• Google Cloud Platform Professional certification (Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer)
• Exposure to security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, incident-driven environment
• Ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
