Senior IT Project Manager – GxP Infrastructure

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology projects in a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on network infrastructure upgrades and may also support Quality, Laboratory, and Manufacturing Operations systems, with responsibility for project delivery, vendor coordination, governance, compliance, and organizational change management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of IT projects , ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
• Manage projects throughout the complete lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, go-live, hypercare, and closeout
• Lead projects involving network infrastructure upgrades within a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate dependencies across workstreams
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across Business, IT, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, PMO, and third-party vendors
• Lead project team meetings, steering committee meetings, risk assessments, issue-resolution sessions, workshops, and cutover planning
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, communication plans, roles and responsibilities, action logs, cutover plans, and project documentation
• Establish and manage appropriate project governance, cadence, milestones, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify, document, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes
• Coordinate resource requirements and ensure appropriate resource availability and allocation
• Maintain momentum around critical decisions and drive alignment across multiple functional workstreams
• Manage third-party vendors and ensure vendor deliverables meet project, technical, quality, and schedule requirements
• Develop and maintain accurate project financials, schedules, forecasts, and status information in Planview
• Measure project performance using appropriate project management systems, tools, and techniques
• Provide regular status updates to project sponsors, steering committees, leadership, and other key stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and support effective cost control
• Support organizational change management activities to maximize adoption of new or modified systems, technologies, and business processes
• Ensure project documentation and execution comply with applicable GxP requirements and pharmaceutical quality standards
• Facilitate weekly project meetings to ensure scope, responsibilities, deadlines, deliverables, risks, and expectations remain clearly understood
• Maintain alignment across project teams and ensure stakeholders understand project objectives, business value, priorities, and expected outcomes

Requirements:

• Must Be a US citizen, green card holder, or not require sponsorship now or in the future
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Business, Engineering , or a related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience , including significant hands-on IT project management responsibility
• Demonstrated experience managing network infrastructure or network upgrade implementations within a GxP-regulated environment
• Strong understanding of GxP practices within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated life sciences environments
• Experience managing external vendors and third-party service providers
• Demonstrated experience using Waterfall project management methodologies
• Experience managing projects across at least two of the following functional areas: • IT • Quality • Laboratory/LIMS • Manufacturing Operations
• Strong understanding of the technology and software/system implementation lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex projects within a matrix organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, subject matter experts, managers, and executive stakeholders
• Strong leadership and ability to influence without direct authority
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong risk identification, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders to determine appropriate solutions
• Self-motivated and capable of independently managing complex projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to anticipate resource needs, identify required decisions, and proactively drive resolution
• Strong understanding of project objectives, business value, ROI, and organizational priorities
• Collaborative team player willing to support both large strategic initiatives and smaller project activities
• Previous pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience
• Experience supporting Quality or Laboratory systems , particularly LIMS/SampleManager
• Project Management Professional ( PMP ) certification
• Experience with Planview, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet
• Experience managing IT infrastructure projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
