Technical Project Manager

New York Global Consultants Inc. (NYGCI) is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise storage migration program across multiple data centers. The role is responsible for end-to-end migration planning, coordination, event management, stakeholder communication, technical dependency management, reporting, production cutover, and stabilization activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and execution of a large-scale PowerMax/VMAX storage migration program across multiple sites and enterprise environments
• Manage approximately 3.3PB of allocated storage and 1.6PB of consumed data across 14 arrays and 477 hosts
• Lead approximately 2 months of discovery, assessment, planning, and migration readiness activities before production migrations
• Coordinate migration activities of up to 18 migration events, with up to 2 migration weeks per month and approximately 300TB of migration activity per month
• Develop and maintain detailed migration schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, resources, and readiness criteria
• Manage individual migration events, including pre-migration readiness, execution coordination, validation, and post-migration activities
• Coordinate technical teams responsible for storage, infrastructure, applications, networking, and operations
• Manage pre- and post-migration performance analysis, including review of array statistics and performance indicators
• Coordinate pre- and post-migration array health checks and ensure identified issues are tracked through resolution
• Maintain migration trackers, event status, action items, risks, dependencies, and executive-level reporting
• Coordinate customer, vendor, engineering, and offshore/onshore resources throughout the migration lifecycle
• Manage production cutover activities, implementation windows, MOP/SOP documentation, validation, rollback planning, and stabilization
• Coordinate migration activities involving SRDF replication, including recreation of production SRDF relationships where required
• Ensure migration activities remain aligned with approved change-management processes and customer schedules
• Support migration to target PowerMax arrays, including coordination of capacity expansion involving up to four additional PowerMax arrays
• Coordinate with teams responsible for SAN zoning, storage masking, host connectivity, and automation while maintaining clear ownership boundaries
• Track and communicate migration risks, technical blockers, schedule impacts, and readiness issues to customer leadership
• Ensure appropriate documentation and operational handoff following each migration event

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on project/program management experience in enterprise infrastructure migrations
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale storage migration programs
• Strong experience with Dell EMC PowerMax
• Experience with Dell EMC VMAX / VMAX 950F environments
• Strong understanding of SRDF / storage replication
• Experience with Open Replicator or comparable enterprise storage migration technology
• Understanding of enterprise SAN/storage environments, including:
• SAN zoning
• LUN masking
• Host/storage connectivity
• Storage provisioning
• Replication
• Array migrations
• Experience coordinating pre- and post-migration performance analysis
• Experience managing migration readiness, validation, cutover, and post-migration stabilization
• Experience working with large-scale, multi-site infrastructure environments
