Associate Project Manager

SLS Consultants is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support large-scale AI and high-performance computing data center deployments. The role involves traveling to active data center sites, assessing readiness, identifying risks, coordinating with project teams, and producing site observations and readiness reports.

Responsibilities:

• Travel extensively to data center sites throughout the Midwest and East Coast region
• Assess and verify data hall readiness before deployment activities
• Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers by providing field observations, reporting, and readiness assessments
• Evaluate whether facilities are prepared to accept critical infrastructure
• Perform QA/QC reviews and readiness inspections
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, operations, and deployment teams
• Produce detailed site observations, readiness reports, and risk mitigation recommendations

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience supporting data center construction, operations, commissioning, deployments, or project management
• Understanding of data center infrastructure fundamentals
• Ability to identify risks and escalate concerns appropriately
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Comfortable working independently while traveling between sites
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools
• Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data centers
