Account Manager, Business Development

Redwood Materials is localizing the global battery supply chain through battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and domestic production of battery materials. The Business Development Account Manager will grow new and existing markets, manage key client relationships, develop tailored solutions, resolve issues, monitor account performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service
• Strategic Planning: Identify opportunities for account growth and collaborate with BD Managers and clients to develop strategies that align with their goals
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction
• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to clients and internal stakeholders on partnership progress, performance, and key metrics
• Travel: Ability to travel 25% when necessary for meetings, tours etc

Requirements:

• Ability to travel 25% when necessary for meetings, tours etc
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or business. Technical background a plus
• Sales/business/technical sales experience more than 5 years
• Fluent in English for global communication to lead the account management
• Strong leadership skills with logical communication
• People skills to develop good relationships with customers even when the situation is very tough
• Smart, scrappy, entrepreneurial, science-loving, having a bias for action and a lot of grit
• An ability to have fun while tackling hard problems!
• A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
• Automotive, mining, metallurgical or lithium-ion battery industry experience is strongly preferred
