Security Engineer

Iceberg is a highly successful, technology-driven financial trading firm. The company is seeking its first dedicated Security hire in Europe or the US to take ownership of security engineering and operations across cloud, endpoint, identity, and collaboration environments. The role involves improving security controls, responding to incidents, implementing new technologies, and contributing to the firm's broader security strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Improving security across cloud, endpoint, identity and collaboration environments
• Managing, tuning and improving existing security controls
• Investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents
• Identifying weaknesses and implementing improvements
• Supporting the introduction of new security technologies
• Working closely with IT and engineering teams
• Helping develop security processes, standards and best practices
• Assessing emerging security technologies and deciding where they can add value
• Contributing to the wider security strategy as the organisation continues to scale

Requirements:

• Currently working within either a large enterprise cryptocurrency, trading firm or hedge fund
• Hands-on experience across a broad range of security engineering and operations
• Experience in improving security across cloud, endpoint, identity and collaboration environments
• Experience in managing, tuning and improving existing security controls
• Experience in investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents
• Experience in identifying weaknesses and implementing improvements
• Experience in supporting the introduction of new security technologies
• Experience in working closely with IT and engineering teams
• Experience in helping develop security processes, standards and best practices
• Experience in assessing emerging security technologies and deciding where they can add value
• Experience in contributing to the wider security strategy as the organisation continues to scale
