Senior Azure DevSecOps Engineer

Cognizant is a digital services company seeking an experienced Senior Azure DevSecOps Engineer. The role designs and manages Azure CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks while collaborating with development, QA, security, and operations teams to improve delivery, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple application environments
• Manage Git repositories, branching strategies, and version control best practices
• Orchestrate metadata and data deployments while ensuring release quality and reliability
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as ARM Templates and Terraform
• Integrate pipelines with security, code quality, monitoring, and compliance tools
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery
• Troubleshoot deployment and pipeline issues and optimize performance across environments
• Ensure adherence to DevSecOps standards, governance controls, and audit requirements
• Document processes and provide knowledge sharing and technical guidance to team members

Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments
• Hands-on experience with Git version control systems and branching strategies
• Experience orchestrating application, metadata, and data deployments across environments
• Strong proficiency in YAML scripting for pipeline configuration and automation
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM Templates and Terraform
• Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing security controls, governance requirements, and compliance standards within DevOps processes
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience implementing advanced DevSecOps practices including vulnerability management and automated security scanning
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools within cloud-native environments
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud transformation initiatives
• Familiarity with AI-powered development and operations tools to improve productivity and delivery quality
• Experience working in highly regulated industries with strict compliance and audit requirements
