UX Researcher III - AI Products

Linda Werner & Associates is seeking a UX Researcher III focused on AI Products. The role involves conducting qualitative research to inform the development of AI-powered business assistant products, managing the research lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Translate incoming requests and strategic priorities from product teams into precise research questions and appropriate qualitative study methodologies
• Design and execute a range of qualitative research studies, including in-depth interviews, diary studies, concept testing, usability evaluations, microsurveys, and ongoing engagement assessments
• Develop comprehensive research materials such as detailed discussion guides, participant screeners, and task protocols
• Independently moderate live remote research sessions and design and facilitate asynchronous studies for broader reach and flexibility
• Perform rigorous analysis and coding of qualitative data to identify emergent patterns, themes, and critical, actionable insights
• Create clear, compelling, and evidence-based research readouts tailored for Product, Design, Engineering, and internal UX Research stakeholders
• Partner effectively with other UX Researchers to ensure tactical studies align with and complement broader strategic research initiatives
• Contribute research findings to shared repositories, fostering synthesis and knowledge sharing across various product areas
• Proactively utilize AI-enabled research tools to accelerate study design, moderation, analysis, synthesis, and readout creation processes
• Maintain a rapid research cadence, capable of supporting and executing studies on a weekly basis to meet dynamic product development needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Research, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical applied experience
• 3 to 7 years of hands-on qualitative UX research experience
• Proven ability to conduct in-depth interviews, diary studies, concept testing, and usability research
• Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience in remote moderation of research sessions
• Expertise in developing detailed research plans, discussion guides, participant screeners, and comprehensive study protocols
• Advanced qualitative data analysis, synthesis, and insight generation skills, translating raw data into strategic recommendations
• Experience in producing clear, actionable research readouts and presentations for Product, Design, and Engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage the entire research process, from initial question formulation to final findings delivery
• Prior experience working effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional product development environment
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience conducting research for Business-to-Business (B2B), Small and Medium Business (SMB), advertising, or general business productivity products
• Familiarity or experience managing a research panel or engaging with a dedicated research community
• Specific experience researching AI-powered products or exploring human-AI interaction dynamics
• Proficiency or interest in leveraging AI-enabled research tools, AI moderators, synthesis assistants, or similar advanced workflows
• Hands-on experience with dscout or comparable remote research platforms for participant interaction and data collection
• Experience utilizing AI tools to significantly improve research speed, efficiency, and overall output
