Indirect Tax Accountant II

About the role:

As a Tax Accountant II, you will take ownership of preparing, analyzing, and filing complex indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. This role is designed for a tax professional who has prior indirect tax experience and is ready to work more independently while contributing to process improvement and broader tax initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and filing Sales & Use Tax, Business Personal Property, Business Licenses, and Unclaimed Property returns
• Assisting with journal entries and tax-related account reconciliations
• Supporting audits and internal tax inquiries
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement
• Completing special projects and additional assignments as needed

What you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation
• 3+ years of professional experience 
• Prior experience preparing indirect tax returns
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• CPA or Master’s in Tax (or pursuing) is a plus
• Experience with Oracle and/or Avalara is a plus
