Title: Data Engineer (Snaplogic + HVR)
CA - Remote (Required initial travel in San Diego, CA) Locals preferred
Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling modern data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics ecosystems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Fivetran HVR, SnapLogic, Snowflake/Databricks, cloud data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling, along with a proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact, analytics‑ready data products.
This role is highly technical and hands-on, requiring strong SQL development, data architecture skills, and experience building governed, scalable transformation layers using modern data engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling & Governance
Remediate analytics models across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, and Product domains that are impacted by platform migration.
Remediate impacted dbt pipelines using medallion architecture (bronze/staging, silver/intermediate, gold/marts).
Meet with stakeholders to understand requirements and accommodate data integrations to meet those needs.
Data Migration
Migrate and remap data from Snowflake to Databricks using SQL, AI, and available tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT development, or Data Architecture.
Expert-level SQL and strong experience with:
dbt Core/Studio
Snowflake/Databricks
Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and medallion architecture.
Experience with Git for version control and release management.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with SnapLogic.
Experience working with Fivetran HVR
Background in building customer-facing data products.
Proficiency in Python.
Experience with Databricks development.
AI experience developing context/tools/prompt engineering.
