Operations Research Engineer

GAINS is on a mission to make supply chains smarter, faster, and self-improving, powered by AI. We are seeking a talented and motivated Operations Research Engineer to join our team, where you will leverage your expertise in operations research and optimization techniques to enhance the efficiency and performance of our supply chain software products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and maintain mathematical models and algorithms for optimizing supply chain operations, including inventory management, demand forecasting, production planning, and logistics
• Design and implement optimization and simulation tools to solve complex supply chain problems, ensuring that solutions are scalable and efficient
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within supply chain processes. Use statistical and machine learning techniques to enhance model accuracy
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate models and algorithms into our supply chain software platform, ensuring seamless functionality and performance
• Work with the customer support team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to optimization models and algorithms used by our clients
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in operations research, optimization, and supply chain management. Propose and implement improvements to existing models and processes
• Prepare detailed technical documentation for models, algorithms, and software modules, ensuring that they are well-documented and easy to understand for internal and external stakeholders
• Lead or participate in project teams, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope
