Feed Mill Night Shift Production Operator

The Night Shift Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the automated feed manufacturing system during the overnight production.  This position monitors and controls the grinding, batching, and pelleting.  The operator works closely with maintenance and quality personnel to maintain continuous production and resolve equipment or process issues. 

• Operate and monitor the computerized automation system for feed manufacturing.
• Control the grinding, batching, and pelleting workstations.
• Monitor production screens, alarms, and equipment performance to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Adjust production settings to maintain feed quality and meet production schedules.
• Verify ingredient sequencing and batching accurately.
• Complete production records and shift reports accurately.
• Communicate equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting automation, process, or mechanical issues.
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the production facility.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company policies.
• Work effectively with other personnel to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

Frequently lift up to 60 pounds.

Ability to climb ladders and stairs

Ability to work in varying temperatures, dust, noise, and other manufacturing conditions.

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
