What you will work on?

You will be joining us in this 1-100 journey, building the best AI tutor platform out of India (likes of Duolingo). So there is tons of UX, personalisation, gamification, problem solving, automations, scaling, and new ideas to work upon that comes along.

Requirements:

• Ideally 2-4yrs of experience in building Mobile apps + backend engineering (React Native and NodeJS/NestJS)
• Strong engineering fundamentals
• Loves great architecture, uses best practices and can write scalable code.
• Uses AI in workflow beyond prompting - think, skills, plugins, workflows, loops, agents, etc.
• Mobile engineering skills -
  • High quality UI and smooth animations
  • Have handled various mobile app challenges like - performance, optimized app builds, push notifications, etc.
  • Bonus - writing bridges, widgets, own libraries, etc.
• Software engineering skills -
  • CRUD apis
  • Redis, Queues, Caching
  • Bonus - Elastic search
  • Relational DBs - PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Rate limiting
  • Basics of scaling and security
  • Worked with cloud - AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Preferred - Gen AI engineering skills -
  • Big plus - Worked on traditional AI/ML techniques, model training
  • Built production grade AI pipelines
  • Worked on agentic workflows (requirement gathering → planning → execution)
  • Worked on Voice agents
  • Familiar with other modern AI tech stack (quality RAGs, knowledge graph, tooling, etc.)
• Bonus - Have worked in Python before

PS: Can you write code which can adapt to requirements 6 months in future?

Responsibilities:

• Building new features and various initiatives in backend and mobile app
• Deployments, performance, push notifications, etc
• Set up tooling and running experiments - crons, automation workflows, AI tooling, etc.
• Product and design reviews
• Pushing tech quotient of team - keep self updated with evolving technology and AI based tooling
• Take decisions driven by speed to production + quality for today

Compensation:

Experience wise: 15 to 34LPA + Esops for the right candidate.

Interview Process

Your resume will be short listed as per your prior experience and inclination to work with us.

Round 0, Introductory meet (30 min) - We will discuss your work in detail, mindset and depth of skillset - covering about your engineering, builder and creative side as much.

Round 1, 1h 15m F2F: Fundamentals of programming, batching, object oriented in JS/TS, etc. No DSAs.

Round 2, 1h 15m F2F: system design - LLD - From a vague problem statement, concretise the requirements, DB schema design, performance, choices of architecture, etc.

Round 3, 2-3 days: Fullstack mobile assignment round (Optional if solid prior apps built from scratch and R1-R2 are solid)

Round 4, 1h 15m F2F: system design - HLD - Given a problem statement, design and architecture to achieve this keeping in mind how system would transition over an 1 year, ensuring security, right choices of storage/DB, etc. Optional round, we do this when you close R1-R3 strongly.
