Sr Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and deploy high-performance software applications and AI-powered solutions to simplify the healthcare experience for millions of members.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible use of AI
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and modern engineering practices to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
• Evaluate emerging trends and technologies to inform solution design, architecture, and strategic innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional product, engineering, and data teams to define software requirements and technical specifications
• Write clean, maintainable, performant code and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance, cloud services, and integration pipelines in production environments
• Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers, fostering technical growth and modern software development practices across the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, 4+ years of equivalent professional software engineering experience in Lieu of Degree
• 5+ years of professional software development experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade applications
• 3+ years of experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or TypeScript)
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum engineering environment
• 1+ years of experience building, integrating, and deploying AI-powered features, automated workflows, or machine learning services/APIs
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps automation, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
• 1+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices application architecture
• Advanced degree (Master's) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical field
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), or vector databases into software applications
• Understanding of enterprise AI ethics, safety guidelines, and data governance practices
• Experience with healthcare data systems, health benefits operations, or security/privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
