Customs Import Manager

iFIT is a company dedicated to creating a holistic health and fitness platform, and they are seeking a Customs Import Manager to manage import compliance operations globally. The role involves ensuring accurate customs clearance and compliance with regulations, while serving as the primary liaison with customs authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and design processes and systems to ensure trade compliance with U.S. and international customs laws and regulations
• Supervise and coordinate trade compliance and brokerage team activities for accurate and timely import/export handling
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customs authorities, addressing inquiries and resolving complex issues
• Collaborate with customs officials, shippers, and stakeholders to expedite and resolve trade compliance issues
• Stay informed on regulatory changes and improve processes in response to evolving customs and trade laws
• Manage global import/export activities, ensuring compliance in the USA and supporting other regions including Europe, UK, Mexico, Canada, and Australia
• Oversee preparation, review, and submission of trade documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Identify and mitigate risks related to import/export activities and compliance issues
• Develop and maintain compliance manuals, SOPs, and lead compliance committee initiatives
• Utilize the ACE portal, oversee HTS classification, country of origin reviews, reconciliation processes, and support post-entry audits and cross-border trade compliance

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in import, customs compliance, or trade management
• Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP
• Deep understanding of U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) license preferred
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent trade compliance certification also considered
