Technical Project Manager - Marine

Cummins Inc. is seeking a talented Technical Project Manager – Marine to join their team in Sales from your remote home office. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead quoting and project management activities for new Wabtec partnership Marine programs, requiring close cross‑functional collaboration and comprehensive project lifecycle management.

Requirements:

• College, university, or equivalent degree required
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
• Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required
• Experience in prototype cost analysis and/or manufacturing cost estimation
• Working knowledge of Product Compliance and Regulatory frameworks applicable to defense programs (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, cybersecurity, and applicable industry standards)
• Demonstrated experience managing supply timelines for government and defense-related equipment
• Demonstrated experience enforcing disciplined project execution, including proactive follow‑up, escalation when required, and accountability for scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Proven experience working on U.S. Government programs requiring Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) designation and compliance with applicable information protection and cybersecurity requirements
• Advanced ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, specifications, and configuration documentation
• Solid understanding of government contract requirements, including deliverables, documentation standards, and compliance obligations
• Proven capability to manage configuration changes, revisions, and contract modifications throughout the project lifecycle
• Familiarity with quality and testing processes, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), inspections, and required documentation packages
• Ability to effectively utilize and adapt to multiple project management tools and customer-preferred systems
• Preferred experience in shipbuilding programs and/or execution within large subcontractor or tiered supplier environments
