Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Jacobs is a company focused on solving critical problems for thriving cities and resilient environments. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer to deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, collaborating with a multi-discipline team to meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
• Development of final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc
• Coordination with other disciplines

Requirements:

• At least ten (10) years' experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• Proficiency in Revit
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely
• Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
• Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
