Apigee Platform Development Engineer

SGF Global is seeking an experienced Apigee Platform Development Engineer to support a large-scale systems integration initiative focused on API modernization and cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Apigee Hybrid / Apigee X and hands-on experience migrating APIs to modern API management platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain Apigee Hybrid infrastructure environments
• Migrate existing APIs to a new Apigee platform
• Develop, refactor, and optimize API proxies, shared flows, and policies
• Perform Kubernetes-based deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting activities
• Support CI/CD automation and release management processes
• Integrate enterprise applications and backend services using REST and SOAP APIs

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with Apigee and API Management technologies
• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid and/or Apigee X
• Proven experience migrating APIs between platforms
• Expertise in API proxy development and operational troubleshooting
• Solid Kubernetes knowledge, including clusters, namespaces, pods, deployments, ingress, config maps, and secrets
• Experience with scripting and automation in Linux or cloud-native environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control practices
• Cloud platform experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Strong background in enterprise application integration
• US Citizenship is required
