Customer Success Director

Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Customer Success Director for our client, a leading provider of smart mobility and curbside management solutions that help cities and operators optimize parking, enforcement, and curb space utilization through advanced technology and data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Customer Success or Account Management professional with strong municipal or public-sector relationship experience. The successful candidate will be customer-focused, organized, proactive, and skilled at building executive relationships, driving measurable outcomes, managing renewals, and identifying growth opportunities.

The Customer Success Director will own assigned customer accounts from onboarding through renewal and expansion, serving as a trusted advisor to city stakeholders while partnering with internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes. This is a Full-Time, Remote position within the United States with 25–50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Own customer retention, renewal, expansion, and extension strategies.
• Build strong executive relationships with municipal and city agency customers.
• Lead outcome-based Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and customer success planning.
• Develop capture strategies for upcoming customer RFPs and competitive rebids.
• Identify and execute expansion opportunities aligned with customer goals.
• Analyze customer needs and develop initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance and best practices to improve customer productivity and program performance.
• Maintain account plans, success plans, CRM records, and renewal calendars.
• Partner with Customer Care, Project Management, Product, Legal, and other internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience.
• Support contract negotiations and coordinate operational issues with Customer Care.
• Monitor customer adoption, usage, and health indicators and proactively address risks.
• Capture customer feedback and insights to inform Product, R&D, and company strategy.
• Contribute to customer success resources, including training materials, knowledge bases, and customer success stories.

Required Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management.
• Experience with municipal customers and/or parking or curbside technology preferred.
• Strong experience facilitating QBRs and developing customer success plans.
• Proven ability to identify growth opportunities aligned with customer needs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail oriented.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional relationship-building skills.
• Strong customer empathy, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%.
