Commissioning & Field Engineer, Mechanical

Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI. The Commissioning & Field Engineer will be responsible for commissioning mechanical systems in data centers and ensuring that they operate efficiently through rigorous testing and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Commission mechanical systems for gigawatt-scale data centers: chilled water plants, CDUs, liquid loops, and airside systems from Level 2 through Level 5
• Write and execute test scripts that prove capacity, redundancy, and failure response, not just that equipment turns on
• Run functional and integrated systems tests with controls and electrical so the building performs as one system
• Feed test findings back into the standard design so the next site commissions faster

Requirements:

• You've commissioned mechanical plant on mission critical facilities through integrated systems testing
• You've written test procedures from sequences of operation, and found where the sequence was wrong
• You read P&IDs and controls drawings fluently
• You troubleshoot live systems with vendors watching and a deadline standing behind you
