Senior Hardware Engineer

Ampace Technology Limited is a global battery-technology company specializing in lithium-ion cells and systems for energy storage. They are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead the R&D of energy-storage BMS hardware platforms, focusing on high-precision sensing and safety architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle R&D of a world-class energy-storage BMS hardware platform — from requirements and architecture to component selection and prototype validation — with breakthroughs in high-precision sensing, high-reliability safety architecture, and highly integrated design
• Lead pre-research on high-precision detection, fault-tolerant safety, reliable power-circuit architecture, and EMC optimization
• Drive multi-domain fusion of the BMS with PCS, EMS, thermal management, and fire-control systems for hardware-level, millisecond-response coordination
• Own electrical-control reliability design under a safety-first principle

Requirements:

• PhD in electronic engineering, computer science, automation, energy storage, or power electronics
• Doctoral research covering at least one of: battery management systems, power electronics, energy management, or system fusion — with exposure to industrialization
• BMS hardware architecture design (BCU, BMU, high-voltage acquisition, current sensing, insulation monitoring, communication interfaces)
• Analog, digital, and power-circuit design; EDA tools, PCB layout, signal integrity, and EMC design; understanding of cell electrochemistry and failure modes (lithium dendrite, electrolyte decomposition, SEI aging, thermal runaway)
• Internship or project collaboration with a leading data-center energy-storage company
