Senior Software Engineer

Specific Specialists is a company that licenses high-quality professional documents to frontier AI research labs. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a network of experienced engineers by producing and licensing technical documents that aid in training AI models.

Responsibilities:

• License existing work. If you have design docs or technical documents you own the rights to, we'll review and purchase licenses to qualifying material
• Ongoing contribution. Engineers who clear our quality bar can produce new documentation on a recurring, paid basis

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a software engineer, with real systems shipped
• You've authored multiple substantial design docs, RFCs, or architecture documents at real companies (not portfolio samples)
• Your writing shows engineering judgment: tradeoffs considered, alternatives rejected, constraints made explicit
• For licensed work: you own the rights or can legally license what you submit
