Integration Engineer III (Health Level 7)

Novant Health is seeking an Integration Engineer III to support the design, development, and maintenance of healthcare system integrations. The role focuses on enabling secure and reliable data exchange, assisting with HL7 and FHIR-based interfaces, and contributing to operational support of enterprise interoperability platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of HL7 and FHIR interfaces between clinical, financial, and operational systems
• Support interface testing, validation, and deployment across development, test, and production environments
• Monitor interfaces for errors or performance issues and assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Participate in interface documentation, including message specifications, workflows, and configuration details
• Collaborate with senior integration engineers, analysts, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to support interoperability initiatives
• Follow established standards, best practices, and change management processes to ensure system stability and data integrity

Requirements:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
• 5 years in IT or related business, preferable healthcare environment in a management, analytical or technical role with responsibilities including implementation, technical troubleshooting, customer support, and problem solving, required
