Integration Engineer III (Health Level 7)

Novant Health is a healthcare organization seeking an Integration Engineer III to support the design, development, and maintenance of healthcare system integrations. The role involves assisting with HL7 and FHIR-based interfaces and contributing to testing, deployment, and operational support of interoperability platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of HL7 and FHIR interfaces between clinical, financial, and operational systems
• Support interface testing, validation, and deployment across development, test, and production environments
• Monitor interfaces for errors or performance issues and assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Participate in interface documentation, including message specifications, workflows, and configuration details
• Collaborate with senior integration engineers, analysts, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to support interoperability initiatives
• Follow established standards, best practices, and change management processes to ensure system stability and data integrity

Requirements:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
• 5 years in IT or related business, preferable healthcare environment in a management, analytical or technical role with responsibilities including implementation, technical troubleshooting, customer support, and problem solving, required

• Proficient knowledge in HL7 standards and capable understanding of integration methodology and architecture
