Business Analyst

Athomtech, Inc is seeking a Business Analyst to work on multiple projects that support the mission of improving outcomes for Texas students. The role involves performing advanced business analysis, serving as a liaison between the program community and the software development team, and managing requirements throughout the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes user needs, business processes, pain points, and system capabilities to automate or improve existing systems
• Elicits requirements using JAD sessions, interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, competitive product analysis, and workflow analysis
• Transforms elicited information into business and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, software requirements specifications, wireframes, and mockups
• Acts as a mentor to peers and colleagues, disseminating best practices and proactively seeking training opportunities
• Utilizes TEA tools such as Jira and Modern Requirements to manage change control, participate in the SDLC, and track and communicate requirements status
• Provides dedicated support for the implementation of the agency’s CRM project, ensuring requirements are captured, managed, and fulfilled to meet program and stakeholder needs

Requirements:

• Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
• Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
• Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
• Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
• Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
• Demonstrated strong communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills
• Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
• Documented CRM domain expertise with a strong understanding of CRM workflows, data models, and user needs
• Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
• Documented experience working with TEA or any federal, state, or local government agency
• Demonstrated experience administering, managing, and supporting help desk ticketing systems
• Familiarity with data migration and integration efforts between CRM systems and other enterprise platforms
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
