Apprentice, Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA Apprentice role is designed for individuals to gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance and contribute to high-quality digital assessment products under the guidance of experienced QA engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases for web and iPad applications under the guidance of senior QA engineers
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing during sprint and release cycles
• Document software defects clearly and accurately using defect tracking tools
• Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining test cases and test documentation
• Learn the functionality of Q-interactive assessments and related applications
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and support teams to understand requirements and expected behavior
• Assist with test data setup and execution of functional and exploratory testing
• Learn software quality best practices, accessibility fundamentals, and testing methodologies
• Continuously develop technical and professional skills through mentoring and structured learning

Requirements:

• Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software development or software testing concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Basic knowledge of Agile software development
• Familiarity with web or mobile applications
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages
• Understanding of software defect lifecycle
