Epic Revenue Cycle (RCM) Project Manager

STI is seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment to manage the planning and implementation of a new Electronic Health Record system. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project activities, and ensuring the project meets organizational needs and timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the scope, schedule, and quality of the project for the Revenue Cycle EHR build team
• Setting clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of the project
• Working closely with the EHR Program Director and other project managers/team managers to coordinate activities
• Ensuring that the business community is engaged in the project
• Advising and coaching team members by providing guidance on project issues, key success factors of the project, and lessons learned
• Sharing with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities
• Reinforcing the importance of the project together with the EHR program executives and the Program Director, and providing consistent communication to the project team
• Organizing resources within the organization
• Motivating and showing appreciation for the team
• Appropriately matching team member skills to team responsibilities
• Managing the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks
• Assisting as a support contact for revenue cycle
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues
• Guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software
• Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic implementation staff
• Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings
• Working with Epic representatives, the business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in regard to the project deliverables and timeline
• Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows
• Participating in training and working with end users
• Reporting and reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
• Holding weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones
• Developing and maintaining all required State CIO and DHHS PMO project documentation in coordination with other EHR PMO PM resources

Requirements:

• CANDIDATE MUST BE CERTIFIED IN AT LEAST ONE EPIC REVENUE CYCLE APPLICATION
• Experience in managing the planning and implementation of an Electronic Health Record system
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Experience working with senior-level business executives, IT management and personnel, business program resources and vendor staff
• Ability to define and execute requirements and manage stakeholder expectations
• Experience in maintaining the scope, schedule, and quality of the project
