Site Reliability Engineer

PTR Global is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help build and mature enterprise Site Reliability Engineering practices within a growing Information Security organization. The role focuses on driving reliability, automation, observability, and operational excellence while collaborating with engineering and InfoSec teams across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement foundational SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management
• Build and promote enterprise-wide Site Reliability Engineering standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks and playbooks
• Improve monitoring, observability, alerting, and on-call processes
• Integrate PagerDuty, ServiceNow, and enterprise platforms into SRE workflow
• Automate operational tasks, incident workflows, and reporting
• Design and execute chaos engineering experiments to improve system resilience
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, fault tolerance, and recovery strategies
• Lead incident reviews and postmortems focused on continuous improvement
• Mentor teams on SRE principles, automation, and operational excellence

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as: New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Similar enterprise monitoring tools
• 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as: AWS, Azure
• Experience with: Incident Management, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Automation and scripting, Runbook development, System reliability and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of: SLIs / SLOs, Error Budgets, Reliability Engineering, Incident Response, Operational Excellence
• Chaos Engineering experience (SteadyBit preferred)
• Python, Bash, Ruby, or other scripting languages
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Security or Information Security experience
• Multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Passion for automation and continuous improvement
