GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is a part of the Clinical team. The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic mammography examinations to assist healthcare providers in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease. This position provides safe, high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient comfort, radiation safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. This position works collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams to provide accessible, patient-centered care for all patients. This position prepares patients, positions them correctly, operates imaging equipment, and maintains accurate documentation while following physician orders and radiation safety standards. The Mammography Technologist will perform other radiologic imaging duties including x-ray and CT, as well as assisting in training/supporting unlicensed staff to perform limited imaging, as well as reviewing images.
