The Fraud and Error Data Service are seeking a B3 Fraud & Error Data Team Leader on a temporary promotion or temporary level transfer for a period of 6 months. In this role you will contribute to the development of Fraud and Error Data capability, including overseeing analytical activity, ensuring intelligence-led approaches are embedded effectively within the team and leading the development and delivery of projects to enhance capability.
This is an exciting time to join the team and lead on planned enhancements to Fraud and Error Data capability, including the introduction of advanced analytics techniques and working closely with key stakeholder to strengthen the organisation’s ability to identify emerging risks, including organised crime and insider threat.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the ongoing development of Fraud and Error Data Capability.
Work with Data and Systems management colleagues to improve governance process for handling of Fraud and Error Data exercises.
Line management responsibility for Data Research and Development Managers. Additional Counter signing responsibility for Intelligence Officers in Fraud and Error Data.
Maintain and expand engagement with colleagues involved in the future development of Fraud and Error data capability, this includes colleagues in Analysis and Insights, Chief Digital Office, Data Management, Data Protection and Technical Platform Owners
Take the lead on Social Security Scotland's ongoing project to on board as a National Fraud Initiative member, working alongside Cabinet Office to achieve this and preparing for a second pilot in 2026.
Continue improving performance management, including delivering updates at regular weekly and monthly performance catch ups with colleagues and compiling detailed management information for presentation to key stakeholders.
Take a tactical lead for the team during the tasking process. Ensuring any intelligence products produced are to a high standard.
Engage regularly with Fraud & Error colleagues ensuring timely delivery of analysis exercises and managing feedback.

Hybrid Working
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location, which is High Street, Glasgow.
