Software Engineering Intern

Wellspoken is an AI app that helps people communicate more clearly in meetings, interviews, and everyday conversations. The Software Engineering Intern will work across the entire stack, from mobile app development to backend and AI pipeline, contributing to features that reach real users within days.

Responsibilities:

• Build real features end to end: the React Native app, the Node and TypeScript backend, and the data behind them
• Work on the AI pipeline that scores and coaches every session, from prompts to the plumbing that keeps it fast and reliable
• Ship to production every week and watch hundreds of thousands of people use what you built
• Debug real problems in a live product, from a slow endpoint to a bug that only hits some users
• Turn founder ideas and user feedback into working software that ships fast and holds up

Requirements:

• Have shipped real things: side projects, open source, or work people actually use
• Are comfortable across the stack, or clearly on your way there
• Move fast, own the outcome, and figure things out without waiting to be told
• Care about writing code that's clear and holds up, beyond code that runs once
• TypeScript, React Native, or Node, the stack we build on
• Experience wiring LLMs or AI features into a real product
• A feel for databases and APIs, and how to keep them fast as they grow
• Fluency with AI coding tools to ship faster
