Rust Developer / AI Engineer

Pareto Labs builds AI systems that help enterprises automate complex business workflows. As a Rust Engineer, you will be responsible for building reliable, scalable infrastructure for AI systems and collaborating with teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and building high-performance backend systems and infrastructure
• Developing reliable, scalable services using Rust
• Working on distributed systems, APIs, and core platform components
• Improving system performance, reliability, and security
• Building developer tools and internal infrastructure
• Collaborating with AI engineers and product teams to ship impactful features
• Debugging complex technical challenges across our stack
• Contributing to architecture decisions and engineering best practices
• Evaluating new technologies and improving our technical infrastructure

Requirements:

• Strong in Rust and systems programming
• Comfortable building reliable, production-grade software
• Curious and eager to solve difficult technical problems
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
• Excited about AI, infrastructure, and emerging technologies
• A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with technical teams
• Experience with Rust in production environments
• Strong understanding of systems design and software architecture
• Experience with backend engineering, APIs, or distributed systems
• Familiarity with databases, networking, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools
• Experience with languages such as Python, TypeScript, C++, or Go is a plus
• Contributions to open-source projects are a bonus
