Job Summary: The Shift Lead’s role is an integral part of the efficient, enthusiastic team that makes Grand Central Bakery’s vibrant cafes such wonderful spaces to be in. The Shift Lead is passionate about supporting a welcoming café environment and serving delicious products to a community of loyal customers. The Shift Lead regularly serves as the Person in Charge (PIC) and ‘runs the floor’ by adjusting work assignments, supporting the café team, and problem solving. They deliver outstanding customer service, following the 3 Steps to Great Service at all times, and can work any shift or station for which they are trained. The Shift Lead uses company systems proficiently, handles cash accurately, and fosters a positive, inclusive, and collaborative atmosphere in support of Grand Central Bakery’s mission, vision, and values.
Rate of Pay: $22.58 per hour
Supervision: This position reports to the Café Manager.
Specific requirements: Must work weekends. Must be able to start bake at 3AM couple times a month.
Schedule Requirements: The Shift Lead typically works 4-5 shifts per work week based on business need. The Shift Lead must be available to work a variety of shifts at least six (6) days per week including Saturday and Sunday.
Remote work: This position is not eligible for remote work.
