Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

They are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Platform Engineering Team, where the candidate will design and maintain automation frameworks, improve software quality, and ensure high test coverage for financial applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services
• Build automated regression, integration, functional, and end-to-end test suites
• Develop automation using Java and modern testing frameworks
• Perform API testing for RESTful and microservices-based applications
• Validate distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Work closely with developers to improve testability and software quality
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
• Execute performance, scalability, and reliability testing
• Identify defects early and drive root cause analysis
• Support production validation and release verification
• Create reusable testing utilities and automation libraries
• Ensure high test coverage across enterprise applications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years of SDET experience
• 5+ years of hands-on automation development
• Strong Java programming experience
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Experience automating REST APIs
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Git
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Experience working with distributed systems
• Financial Services, Banking, FinTech, or Capital Markets experience
• Excellent communication skills
