Process Mechanical Engineer

Jedson Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Mechanical Engineer to support projects within the Consumer Products manufacturing sector, with a specific emphasis in the papermaking industry. This role involves developing engineering designs, conducting on-site assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop process and mechanical engineering designs for Consumer Products manufacturing systems, equipment, and facilities
• Conduct on-site assessments at manufacturing plants as needed to gather data, validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and support installation or commissioning activities
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, equipment specifications, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers, project managers, and plant personnel to ensure project success
• Support project planning, schedule coordination, and design reviews
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, and Jedson Engineering work processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline)
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering
• Strong background in Consumer Products manufacturing - equipment, utilities, and process systems
• Ability and willingness to be on-site at Oxnard area manufacturing facilities as needed
• Proficiency with engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, Fathom, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and field troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in a consulting engineering or EPC environment
• Experience in the papermaking or related industries
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
