Customer Engineer, National Security, SOCOM

Google is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Customer Engineer for the National Security sector. In this role, you will partner with technical sales teams to help prospective and existing customers understand the capabilities of Google Cloud, develop tailored solutions, and address technical challenges, particularly for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
• Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud
• Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
• Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
• Experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions that leverage or integrate generative AI
• Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
• Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Experience selling technical solutions in one or more of the following: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, Security
• Experience managing the entire sales cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution)
• Experience building long-term technical strategies to uncover new workloads with customers
• Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, pen testing)
• Experience prospecting, building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, with excitement for building out Greenfield territories
