Temporary- Associate Business Analyst

IEEE is seeking a Temporary Associate Business Analyst to assist with the business and operational activities of the Technical Activities Department. The role involves providing business support, assisting in budget creation and forecasts, and reporting operational metrics while working independently in a deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Payment processing, tracking, and reporting
• Responsible for all aspects of the automated invoice tracking process
• Recommends improvements to the process
• Facilitate the submission/collection of all required forms (Invoices, Wire, etc.)
• Aid the Dir TA Operations & Volunteer Svcs and Managers TA Operations with ad hoc reports
• Maintain and update the budgeted organization charts in Visio
• Update metrics in Smartsheet and upload files on the TA Operations website
• Financial tracking and reporting
• Assist in tracking Technical Activities projects and the associated reporting
• Assist in development of the Technical Activities and Future Directions budgets and forecasts
• Validate received financial reports to ensure accuracy
• Service contact administration
• Processes and tracks Future Directions requisitions to ensure they are processed accurately and in a timely fashion
• Provides guidance to requestors on process flows and the proper documentation
• Tracks purchase order dollars to anticipate potential contract addendums or increases
• When necessary, services will be competitively bid to obtain the best prices
• Responsible for the monthly requisition metric report provided to management
• Special projects as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Business/Finance or Accounting field
• Less than 2 years relevant business experience
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial
• Ability to work independently with many potential interruptions
• Strong command of business English and ability to articulate program and transactional details with precision
• Technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out new solutions to business challenges
• Working knowledge of computers & software, Excel, Word, Gmail, Databases, Oracle, NetSuite and Quick Books
• Collaboration is essential – this position requires frequent interaction with cross-functional, solution-oriented teams
