API Developer
Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an API Developer on behalf of our client. This role is ideal for a seasoned software professional with extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade APIs and microservices. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable integration solutions, enhancing application connectivity, and driving API best practices across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Implement and support API lifecycle management processes, including design, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
Integrate enterprise applications, platforms, and third-party services.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while optimizing API performance, reliability, and security.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of hands-on API development experience.
Strong expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs.
Experience working with Microservices Architecture.
Strong understanding of API lifecycle management principles and practices.
Experience integrating enterprise applications and services.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with API gateways and API management platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and services.
Knowledge of API security standards, including authentication and authorization frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
