Senior Sales & Business Development Representative- Ovid Synthesis

Wolters Kluwer is a leading provider of health solutions that support clinical professionals in their research and practice. They are seeking a Senior Sales and Business Development Representative to build relationships with decision makers, develop sales strategies, and drive new business growth for their Ovid Synthesis product.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively seek out and identify potential clients and opportunities, with a primary focus on closing new business deals
• Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure alignment with our target market and business objectives
• Develop and execute strategies to approach and engage prospective clients, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs
• Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our offerings
• Handle negotiations with prospective clients, addressing any objections, and guiding them through the sales process to secure new contracts
• Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, tracking progress and reporting on key metrics

Requirements:

• Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in sales roles, with a focus on acquiring new business and closing complex new business deals
• Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining a positive client experience
• Strategic Mindset: Skilled in developing and executing strategies to attract and convert new clients
• Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively
• Self-Motivated: Highly driven and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Experience with SAAS Sales in Healthcare: Understanding of navigating budget, IT and procurement for new products in healthcare
• 5+ years field sales experience
• Complex Sales/Solution Selling experience
• Knowledge of Hospital/Quality Improvement industry
• Experience negotiating with hospital leadership, IT and Procurement
• Clinical market experience
• Knowledge of Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM Applications, SalesForce
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments within Health Research
• Intrinsically self-motivated, quick learner, autonomous self-starter, disciplined time management and result-driven
• Publishing/Information industry would be a plus but not necessary
