Lead Mechanical Engineer

Precision Partners is a specialist engineering company delivering industrial emissions control, decarbonization and process engineering solutions across North America. The Lead Mechanical Engineer will lead the mechanical engineering aspects of multiple industrial projects, providing expertise and mentoring project engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical engineering on multiple industrial projects
• Produce and review mechanical calculations and design packages
• Develop equipment layouts, piping concepts and general arrangements
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals
• Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets
• Coordinate with structural, electrical and process disciplines
• Resolve technical issues during fabrication and construction
• Provide engineering support during commissioning
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and client standards
• Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering standards and processes

Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 7–12 years of industrial engineering experience
• Experience with industrial process equipment
• Strong understanding of fabrication and construction
• Experience reading and producing engineering drawings
• Knowledge of pressure equipment, ductwork, steel structures and piping
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Industrial emissions control experience
• EPC experience
• Autodesk Plant 3D or AutoCAD experience
• FE or PE desirable but not required
