Mechanical Engineering Expert

Weekday AI is building a select group of experienced mechanical engineers to support advanced AI systems in understanding mechanical engineering concepts. The role involves reviewing AI-generated content, providing expert feedback, and collaborating with other experts to enhance AI model quality.

Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate AI-generated content related to mechanical engineering for technical accuracy, completeness, and real-world applicability
• Provide clear, well-supported answers and expert feedback based on your professional engineering experience
• Recommend authoritative technical references, engineering standards, and industry resources relevant to your area of expertise
• Share insights into real-world mechanical engineering workflows, design practices, manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and engineering standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary subject matter experts to improve AI model quality and consistency across technical domains
• Identify inaccuracies, ambiguities, and opportunities to enhance AI-generated engineering responses

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States
• 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, preferably across multiple disciplines such as thermodynamics, HVAC systems, mechanical design, product development, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
• Strong familiarity with industry standards and engineering codes, including ASME and other relevant mechanical engineering regulations
• Hands-on experience with engineering and simulation software such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, or similar design and analysis tools
• Comfortable using modern AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms
• Based in the United States
• Professional-level English communication skills
• Able to consistently commit approximately 10 hours per week
• Experience preparing technical specifications, engineering reports, design documentation, or training materials
