IT - ADMIN - Security Architect - Consultant - Cloud Engineer

Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Security Architect - Consultant (Cloud Engineer) to assist the State of South Carolina with deployment and management of cloud initiatives. The role involves system administration, facilitating migrations to cloud infrastructure, and maintaining shared services across AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP)
• Work with DTO and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to the DTO cloud infrastructure
• Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands-on engineering
• 10 years infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture
• 8+ years technical architecture
• 5-7 years AWS (IAM, Organizations, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls, etc.)
• 3-5 years Azure (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls, etc.)
• 3-7 years enterprise cloud architecture or governance
• 3-5 years Terraform and infrastructure as a code
• 3-5 years cloud migrations and platform operations
• 3+ years technical leadership and knowledge transfer
• Public Cloud infrastructure expertise
• AWS and/or Azure certifications
• Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code, understanding of scaling technologies and solutions, experience with AWS or other clouds, familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms, security, penetration testing and threat detection tools, and experience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix
• Background in DevOps, Software Development, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering
• Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment
