Software Engineer IV

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer IV for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This role is focused on Level 2 production support for a home lending platform, applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

Responsibilities:

• Level 2 production support for a home lending platform
• Applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Troubleshooting, monitoring, and enhancing observability using tools like Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics
• Strong L2 production support and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience with Grafana for observability dashboards and monitoring
• Proficiency with Splunk (log analysis and query writing)
• Experience using AppDynamics and other APM/monitoring tools
• Knowledge of synthetic monitoring tools (e.g., ThousandEyes)
• Strong understanding of incident management and change management (ITIL preferred)
• Experience with Java applications and ability to troubleshoot/read Java code
• Proficiency in JavaScript and HTML for dashboard development
• Strong Unix/Linux command-line and server troubleshooting skills
• SQL experience with Oracle and MongoDB (SQL Server is a plus)
• Ability to analyze infrastructure, application logs, and performance issues
• Experience building or enhancing monitoring dashboards and alerting solutions
• Understanding of operational risk and working within highly regulated enterprise environments
• Experience in large enterprise financial services or similar regulated industries preferred
• Familiarity with AI/Agentic AI concepts to improve automation, self-healing, and operational efficiency
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
• Experience supporting customer-facing applications in production environments

Requirements:

• 8 years of software engineering, application support, or SRE experience
• Strong L2 production support and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational excellence
