As a Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician (Part-Time On-Call), you will provide timely behavioral health support to patients experiencing mental health crises, helping individuals receive assessment, stabilization, and connection to the right level of care when they need it most.

Your work will directly support improved patient outcomes, better access to behavioral health services, and the overall health and stability of the communities we serve.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Provide behavioral health crisis response and clinical support during assigned on-call coverage periods.
• Complete behavioral health assessments, including suicide risk and safety evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation support, and safety planning for patients experiencing urgent behavioral health concerns.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate resources, including crisis services, emergency services, community agencies, and higher levels of care.
• Collaborate with medical providers, behavioral health team members, and community partners to support patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and sound decision-making in high-stress situations.

This role provides opportunities to build experience in behavioral health crisis response, integrated healthcare, care coordination, and community-based behavioral health services.

It can be a strong pathway for team members interested in expanding clinical expertise, gaining experience within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting, or growing into broader behavioral health clinical roles.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Active State of Ohio licensure as one of the following:
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • LISW-S or LPCC-S preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Experience providing behavioral health services, crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, or emergency mental health support preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
