Sales Account Manager - Southwest USA

Victrex is an innovative world leader in high-performance polymer solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for direct buying customers. The role focuses on revenue growth, customer experience improvement, and collaboration with internal teams to industrialize new production and introduce new products.

Responsibilities:

• Own and grow revenue and profitability for a portfolio of direct buying customer accounts
• Build strong, long-term customer relationships as the main commercial point of contact
• Deliver timely, high-quality account support aligned to customer characterization and revenue thresholds
• Identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience and coordinate solutions with internal teams
• Manage incoming leads from existing or new OEM/Tier1/Specifier accounts and providing advanced technical and regulatory support to convert leads into qualified opportunities
• Lead business development opportunities to introduce new products, translating applications, and scaling production
• Manage price quotations and negotiations within agreed authority levels to maximize margin
• Forecast and track account KPIs including revenue, margin, ASP, and competitive position
• Monitor customer usage versus competitive products to identify share‑gain opportunities
• Maintain accurate CRM records, including meeting reports, pipeline activity, and account plans

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar commercial role
• Plastics background/industry experience
• Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
• Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and account activity
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a global, matrix organization
• A bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Member of a recognized commercial or sales institute
