InHouse Manager

The Inhouse Manager supervises on-site Siegwerk team in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Monitor, evaluate, and appraise department productivity and employee performance; guide in-house team to meeting daily goals and improving performance; participate in interviews and assists in selection of new hires; train new employees; plan and assign work; recommend employee rewards and discipline to manager; address complaints and resolve problems with manager input.
Assist customer with ink room procedures and improvements.
Perform technical services and press-side trouble shooting.
Facilitate, coordinate, and monitor work completion through appropriate customer team members (Production Manager, Press Room Manager, etc.).
Promote positive customer relations.
Work closely with InHouse technicians, Application Technology, Account Managers, and Supply Chain manufacturing to coordinate and ensure that customer needs are met along with ensuring proper procedures, service, and quality standards are established.
Responsible for training Siegwerk in-house technicians, press assistants and customer ink blenders as needed.
Work with customer to establish key performance indicators to improve press performance through-put.
Responsible for maintaining finished ink inventory goals related to consignment or other predetermined systems.
Responsible for insuring most cost effective overtime dollars without jeopardizing customers’ performance.
Apply measurement tools, such as control charts, to measure on-going performance.
Maintain color files. Set up job standards for presses.

Demonstrates an active presence in the workplace by engaging employees, reviewing operational performance, and verifying compliance with company policies, procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements.
Ensures operations are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable environmental regulations, permits, and company standards, including hazardous waste management requirements, stormwater permit obligations, air permit requirements, pollution prevention programs, spill prevention measures, and other environmental compliance commitments.
Provides the leadership, resources, staffing, training, systems, and support necessary to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Ensures effective management of hazardous waste generation, accumulation, storage, transportation, disposal, inspections, recordkeeping, emergency preparedness, contractor activities, and corrective action programs.
Regularly reviews safety performance, environmental metrics, audit findings, inspection results, incident trends, compliance obligations, and quality performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Ensures corrective actions are implemented, verified, and sustained.
Holds supervisors, employees, and contractors accountable for meeting safety, environmental, quality, and compliance expectations while actively promoting employee engagement and continuous improvement to reduce risk, improve performance, and strengthen regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
