The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for the organization, administration, continued development, evaluation and effectiveness of educational programs presented to staff, physicians, patients, families and caregivers, and the community. The Director is responsible for the management of the online learning system as well as the organization and provision of staff instruction and will act as a liaison to educational institutions and coordinates student rotation schedules with the hospital directors. This team member is the American Heart Association Coordinator for the facility AHA Training Center, and manages the AHA processes for BLS, ACLS, and PALS programs and instructors. The incumbent manages the American Red Cross resuscitation processes. In addition to providing CE opportunities for staff this position is responsible for managing the onboarding, General Orientation, and nursing orientation processes. As an active member of the Chest Pain Committee, the Director provides heart health education for staff and the community. The team member takes an active role in supporting staff development and retention and is also responsible for not only collaboration on development and retention initiatives but also develops innovative approaches to improve the program’s effectiveness.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Nursing License issued by Florida or Compact License
Basic Life Support Certification issued from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
PALS certification issued from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NIHSS
Five (5) years of experience in patient care nursing with progressive responsibility. 2 years of leadership experience required.
