This is not a regular DevOps Engineer position. The client is specifically looking for a Platform Builder / Greenfield DevSecOps Engineer who has architected and implemented DevSecOps platforms from scratch, not someone who has only maintained Jenkins pipelines or supported Kubernetes clusters.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern DevSecOps platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on expertise in building secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, implementing container platforms, and integrating security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms.
Configure Docker-based container environments.
Implement security controls, including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
Support PostgreSQL databases and Apache Kafka integrations.
Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python and Bash.
Deploy monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and security.
Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure issues.
Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

10+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps or Platform Engineering experience.
Strong experience building DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Hands-on experience with Terraform.
Strong Kubernetes and OpenShift experience.
Docker containerization.
Security tools including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
Experience with PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.
Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
Experience working with on-premises bare-metal infrastructure.

GitOps (ArgoCD or FluxCD)
SonarQube, Checkmarx, Trivy, Prisma, HashiCorp Vault
Enterprise Platform Engineering experience
Experience designing secure, scalable DevSecOps architectures
